Palo Santo Smudge Sticks

Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal. Palo Santo is burned in ceremonies by Shamans and Medicine people for its energetically cleansing and healing properties similar to Sage. Burn Palo Santo to: remove negative energy, cleanse the aura or space, inspire creativity, draw in positive energy, before astral projection, and spiritual communication.

• Instructions for cleansing: Use a candle, match or lighter to ignite your stick of Palo Santo. Hold at about a 45 degree angle pointing the tip down toward the flame. Allow it to burn for about 30 secs to 1 minute and then blow out.
• Move around your workspace, home, car, bathroom or anywhere you would like to clear the energy. Always move from the back to the front of your space when removing or cleansing. Be sure to smudge corners, behind doors, under beds, and closets. I always recommend to open doors and windows when cleansing a space. The idea is to remove negative energy and if there isn't a way for it to exit you will have the residual negative energy in your space doing backflips. If you work with the psalms, 23 and 29 work well. This is where you make it your own, acknowledge the negativity or bad energy and release it. You may say something simple like:
